Nach dem Sommer - Ein Dokumentarfilm von Patric Chiha
Ich bereite einen Dokumentarfilm über junge homosexuelle Migrant_innen (auch Lesben und Schwule mit migrantischen Wurzeln) in Wien vor und bin auf der Suche nach Menschen, die in diesem Film vorkommen sollen.
Ich suche eine (kleine oder größere) Gruppe von 18-25 jährigen Migrant_innen (oder mit migrantischen Wurzeln) und ihren Freunden. Im Film würde ich sie in ihrem Alltag filmen, Gespräche mit ihnen führen, mit ihnen Ausgehen… Was bedeutet es Migrant_in und homosexuell zu sein? Wie wird man da angesehen? Welchen Bezug hat man da zur Stadt, zum Land? Zu welcher Gemeinschaft gehört man? Das sind Fragen, die mich persönlich ansprechen und die ich im Film auf verschiedene Weisen angehen will.
Es ist mir wichtig, dass dieser Dokumentarfilm ein “echter” Film wird, das heißt, ein schöner, spannungsreicher und lustiger Kinofilm. Nach dem Sommer soll also kein Statement-Film werden über ein Thema, sondern ein sensibles und lebendiges Porträt von Menschen.
Ich bin ein österreichischer Filmemacher, lebe und arbeite jedoch hauptsächlich in Paris, wo ich mit 18 hingezogen bin. Ich bin libanesischer Herkunft, in Wien aufgewachsen und interessiere mich sehr für Fragen wie Gemeinschaft und Zugehörigkeit.
Nach dem Sommer wird von der österreichischen Produktionsfirma WILDart FILM produziert.
Ich weiß aus eigener Erfahrung, wie schwer es sein kann, sich filmen zu lassen und über seine Sexualität zu reden. Das hängt sehr vom Vertrauen, das man gegenseitig hat, ab. Und dieses Vertrauen kann sich nur durch Treffen und Gespräche entwickeln. Dazu komme ich in der ersten Jännerhälfte nach Wien.
