About MiGaY

MiGaY was founded in Vienna in 2009 as an association for the integration and support of homosexual, bisexual, transgender/transsexual and queer migrants. MiGaY works on the crossroads between migration and sexuality, where many still face challenges. Open, colorful and multilingual, MiGaY is present throughout Austria and beyond. We fight for equality and self-awareness, against homophobia and transphobia, wherever it may come from, and against xenophobia and racism, which certainly are no “purely straight” phenomena. MiGaY strives for more solidarity with the global queer community and for more togetherness – so that everyone can feel welcome under the rainbow.
